Visit statistics and cross-border transfer
Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4) load only if you choose "Allow" in the banner at the bottom of the screen (consent under Article 28-8(1)(1) of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act). If you don't allow it, you can still read everything on the site.
- What is collected: a cookie identifier, pages viewed and when, clicks, browser and device type, and approximate region inferred from your IP address
- Purpose: to see usage statistics such as visits and clicks so we can improve pages
- Recipient: Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — contact https://support.google.com/policies
- Destination country: United States · When and how: sent over the network each time you view a page after allowing it
- Retention: Google Analytics event data retention of 14 months (our setting), then deleted
- How to refuse and what happens: choose "Not now" in the banner, or change it any time with "Analytics settings" in the footer or below. Refusing does not limit your use of the site.
Behavior analytics (Microsoft Clarity) and cross-border transfer
Microsoft Clarity loads only if you choose "Allow" in the same banner (consent under Article 28-8(1)(1) of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act). Before that, no Clarity script is loaded and nothing is sent. If you don't allow it, you can still read everything on the site.
- What is collected: a pseudonymous Clarity cookie identifier (_clck, _clsk), pages viewed and when, clicks, mouse movement and scrolling, a session replay of the screen with sensitive content such as form input masked (Clarity masking), browser and device type, screen size, and approximate region inferred from your IP address
- Purpose: to see where readers get stuck (clicks, scroll depth, heatmaps) so we can improve pages
- Recipient: Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity) — privacy contact https://aka.ms/privacyresponse
- Destination country: United States · When and how: sent over the network while you browse, after you allow it
- Retention: Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days from recording; recordings we mark as favorites and a random sample Clarity selects are kept for up to 9 months, and heatmaps can be viewed for up to 9 months (Microsoft Clarity FAQ). Clarity cannot delete one visitor's data selectively — on a removal request we delete the whole Clarity project
- How to refuse and what happens: choose "Not now" in the banner, or change it any time with "Analytics settings" in the footer or below (a later refusal also erases Clarity's cookies). Refusing does not limit your use of the site.
Advertising (Google AdSense) and personalized ads
The site may show Google AdSense ads. Google, a third-party vendor, uses advertising cookies to show personalized ads based on your visits to this site and other sites (behavioral information). The AdSense script loads with the page, separately from the analytics banner above. We do not set these cookies ourselves or receive their contents; what the advertising cookies collect and how long it is kept follow Google's policies.
- Behavioral information collected: an advertising cookie identifier, web pages visited, and ad impressions and clicks
- How it is collected: automatically by Google when you view a page that carries ads
- Purpose: to show ads that match your interests and to measure ad performance
- Opting out of personalized ads: turn off ad personalization at Google Ad Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads), or opt out of third-party vendors' cookies at https://www.aboutads.info. Ads may still appear, but not ones based on your browsing history.

Affiliate links
Some outbound product links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never change an identification's confidence label or the order of recommendations.
What we don't collect
We do not require accounts and do not sell personal data. Email addresses submitted for alerts are used only for those alerts.
Change history
2026-09-28: Added visit statistics (Google Analytics 4, only if you allow it) and the cross-border transfer notice. 2026-09-28 (second revision): Microsoft Clarity now also loads only after you allow it, with its collected items, recipient, country and retention listed above; visitors who had allowed Google Analytics only are asked once more. If the transfer details change, we will ask for consent again. 2026-09-28 (third revision): Added the Google AdSense advertising cookies, the behavioral information used for personalized ads, and how to opt out.
